The Phillies have until 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday to add players to their 40-man roster to protect them from next month's Rule 5 Draft, but there were no expected last-minute additions.
The Phillies made their additions earlier this week when they added outfielder Quintin Berry, left-hander Yohan Flande and right-hander Jesus Sanchez.

The Phillies will emphasize defense when working to improve their bench this off-season, general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said Tuesday.
